To take responsibility for ensuring high quality and best practice standards are maintained in the designated room and overall in the service.
This role involves close co-operation with the centre manager and supervisors.
Main duties:
• To report to the Manager
• To act as a positive role model to team members and children
• To deliver a curriculum of the highest standard and in accordance with Aistear and Síolta both indoors and outdoors.
• To, guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and nurturing environment
• Ensure the health, safety, well-being and development of all children in your care
• To adhere to the Child Care 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, the Child Care Act 1991, and all other relevant legislation and Regulations.
• To adhere to good practice guidelines in relation to Aistear, Síolta, and DCEDIY First 5 policy documents
• To be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and to follow them accordingly.
The ideal candidate must have:
• Minimum level 6 or above qualification in early learning and care or equivalent if gained outside of Ireland (qualification must be recognised by DCEDIY as lead educator status to work in childcare in Ireland)
• Minimum 3 years relevant paid experience in Creche facility.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Candidate must be fully flexible to cover shifts anytime between 8am- 6.00pm.
Salary from €15 per hour
