Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley – TD, has launched a public consultation to help shape Ireland’s first National Policy Framework for Alternative Care. 
This new framework will guide how the State supports around 6,000 children in alternative care, with short term actions and a long term vision to improve outcomes for young people.
You can submit your views up until 12 March 2026 by completing the survey.
