Inclusion in Practice: Understanding Behaviour and Supporting All Children
This interactive 1.5-hour session introduces inclusive behaviour support within Early Learning and Care (ELC) and School-Age Childcare (SAC) settings. Together, we will:
- Explore behaviour as a form of communication
- Consider the impact of sensory and emotional needs
- Reflect on how the learning environment shapes children’s experiences
Through practical strategies, real-world examples, and discussion, participants will gain insights into neuro-affirmative and trauma-informed approaches to responding to behaviour that challenges. The session is designed to help educators feel more confident and equipped to support every child’s dignity, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.
Nicola Erasmus: Positive Language & Behaviour Support Strategies in Early Years
Positive Language & Behaviour Support Strategies in Early Years will help early childhood educators foster a positive, supportive learning environment. It will cover the importance of using positive language when communicating with young children, as well as effective behaviour support strategies to help children develop social and emotional skills. With practical tips and examples, educators can create a nurturing, inclusive early years setting.
