EXPECTING YOUR FIRST BABY? Join Dublin City University online postpartum workshop
Sleep is one of the biggest challenges new parents face, yet many parents report feeling unprepared for the reality and impact of sleep changes after their baby is born.
Dublin City University are inviting expectant first-time mothers and fathers to take part in a pilot of a new online sleep and wellbeing workshop. The workshop aims to prepare first-time parents for changes in infant and parental sleep, while providing practical strategies to support parental sleep and wellbeing during the transition to parenthood.

Who can take part?
- Be aged 18 or over
- Be an expectant first-time mum or dad
- You or your partner is between 28 and 35 weeks pregnant
- You or your partner is pregnant with one baby
- You or your partner is not experiencing pregnancy related complications*
- You are comfortable reading and conversing in English
The Workshop Details:
- It will take place online via Zoom
- At a time/date that suits you
- Either before or after baby arrives
- Delivered by Dr Aileen Leech (B.Sc, B.A, M.Sc) who has a PhD in Psychology and is also a mam of 3 smallies.
Topics covered include:
- Helpful information on infant sleep
- The importance of sleep on parental wellbeing
- Practical tips & strategies to improve parental sleep and wellbeing
